Olga Maria Ramos, Dr., LLM* International Legal Consultant Ms. Olga Maria Ramos studied Communication Sciences at the University of Lima and subsequently transferred to law school where she pursued the Bachelors in Laws Program. Ms. Ramos graduated top ten of her class and was awarded by the University of Lima her Bachelors in Laws and Political Sciences in 1998. Ms. Ramos was admitted to the Bar Association of Lima, Peru in 1998. Ms. Ramos worked as an attorney for the Commercial Department for the car company Nissan (Maquisistemas) in Lima, Peru. In 2001, Ms. Ramos pursued the Master of Laws Program (LLM) in the U.S. with emphasis in Intellectual Property and International Business at the George Washington Law School in consortium with Georgetown Law Center. In 2002, Ms. Ramos worked as an intern for a non-profit organization in San Diego, California dedicated to providing legal advice on immigration issues to low-income people. Subsequently, Ms. Ramos moved to Miami, Florida where she rendered services for a prestigious boutique law firm and becoming a member of the most experienced team of immigration and litigation attorneys in Miami. In that capacity, Ms. Ramos has successfully represented high profile clients and high-ranking officials before the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Executive Office of Immigration Review. In 2004, Ms. Ramos was appointed as a poll watcher for the Venezuelan Presidential Referendum conducted at the Venezuelan Consulate in Miami, Florida. Ms. Ramos’ international background and proficiency in her native language, Spanish, has enabled her to efficiently communicate with our Spanish speaking clients, to analyze the legal issues involved in their immigration cases and to develop legal strategies which have warranted the granting of the cases she personally structured. Ms. Ramos has written articles on domestic abuse in Lima, Peru and specializes in cases involving international and immigration laws, asylum, VAWA (Violence Against Woman Act), international business and international intellectual property. Ms. Ramos’ ample experience abroad was earned as a clerk for the now Supreme Court Justice of Lima, Peru, intern for BCPO (Business Consulting Company), the Tax Department of the Municipality of Miraflores, Counsel for Nissan, and Personal Advisor to Municipal Councilors. Mrs. Ramos’ foreign J.D. in conjunction with her U.S. LLM allowed her to render services in the U.S. as an International Legal Consultant and pursuant to U.S. laws Ms. Ramos has the capacity to represent our clients in all their immigration matters. * South American J.D., U.S. Master of Laws- Practice limited to International and Immigration Laws under supervision of AIPG. |
